The Holy Science, the Divine Elements, and the Tree of Life—Loren Stocker
Thursday, April 12, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm PDT$20 (free for monthly all-access subscribers)
According to the Swami Sri Yukteswar, we would have been born on the verge of enlightenment during the Golden Age, but here we are, surrounded by ignorance and strife, struggling to distinguish Dark from Light, in a Yuga slightly North of the Iron Age of ignorance. Yet, there’s a great harmony that underlies the universe, its physics, and our everyday life.
In his masterpiece, The Holy Science, Sri Yukteswar condenses the vast wisdom of the Vedas into a concise set of sutras, which were clarified by Parmahansa Yogananda. If we think of the Bible as a quick-start guide, the Gita it’s operating manual, then the Holy Science is the architecture framework of the universe. In this book, Sri Yukteswar, the “Master of Wisdom,” defines the structure, systems, and scale of the cosmos and human experience.
This discussion will overview the wisdom of The Holy Science in the language of our day. We will also seek your feedback on a depiction that better conveys the universal emanations then the original drawing found on Page 28.
